Concept: This magazine would be different from any other fashion, hair and make-up magazines. It will have all types of body sizes, gender, teenagers, 20s, 30s, 40s, and race. It will have many photos of the trends and the random styles (something you wouldn't see a lot of people with that make them unique.)
Readers – We would target ages from 15-40. It is a magazine generally for women . All ethnicity's in the middle class group. It would include fashion, hair, make-up, tips on many things for woman. It is useful to hair stylist, stylist, and a make-up artist.
Other magazines serving this demographic (your competition) – Cosmopolitan, Allure, Glamour, Elle. The models will be in all shapes and sizes. I am aiming towards self image and how there isn't a "perfect body." I want people to feel good about themselves and being different is okay.
Five advertisers: Make-up ads (Maybelline, Rimmel London, Cover girl, Revlon, etc), Hair products (Herbal Essence, Tressime, CHI, Aussie, Suave), Personal Hygiene (Olay, Colgate, Dove), Clothing brands (Candies, Levi's, LRG, Target, JC Penny, Macy's), Misc (electronics: ipod, steros, ipad, mp3's, car: toyota, jeep, chrysler.)
